Jet member.Graduated from the Department of English and American Literature, Faculty of Letters, Private Kouka Women's University. And Vision Special Program "Professor Alexander Rosler, University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna Take the lesson.
— When did Kinoshita start playing musical instruments?
Shortly before I entered Kinoshita Elementary School, I started learning electronic organs with Yamaha's Electone and continued until I was in college.I attended lessons until I was over 30 years old.
— What kind of practice were you doing?
Kinoshita When I was a kid, I used to take group lessons in a music class. We practiced with keyboards such as electone and synthesizer in the form of forming a band together.
— Then, from that time on, you had the pleasure of playing with someone.
Kinoshita That's right.I participated in a tournament in Yamaha with a friend I was learning with.
— What kind of song were you playing?
Kinoshita When I was little, I used to take lessons for children. There were many popular songs from high school students.I was playing fusions such as T-Square, which was popular at the time.I liked jazz and bossa nova.It wasn't until I became an adult that I started playing songs of that genre in lessons.
— What is your experience with the piano?
Kinoshita When I was a high school student, I started a little to practice the fingers of an electronic organ. At that time, I quit immediately, so I didn't learn properly. However, since I was originally interested in and longing for the piano, I began to want to learn properly about a year before graduating from university (around the second half of the third year of university), and started taking lessons after graduating from university.
— What kind of song were you practicing with?
Kinoshita It was classical music.Hanon and Czerny's No. 30 was handed over to sensei for practice.I didn't play songs that seemed to be songs, but started with Sonatina.
— Did you continue playing the piano after that?
No, at this time I got Yamaha's performance grade XNUMX and quit. It's quite different from playing popular music on the Electone until now, and I couldn't proceed as I expected on the piano ...That's why I left it alone for a long time.
— What made you decide to play the piano again?
Kinoshita I happened to find out that the previous Electone sensei was also taking a piano lesson, and I didn't want to end it halfway, so I decided to try again. There was a lot of time between the time I was frustrated and the time I restarted.
— Have you always wanted to play the piano properly?
Kinoshita That's right.I was in a brass band when I was in junior high school, so I listened to a lot of classical music and loved it.However, at that time, I started listening to the Beatles at the same time, and the Electone was a suitable instrument for popular music, so that was all I had to do.I'm not disinterested in classical music, but it didn't feel right. So, the reason why I restarted the piano is that the encounter with sensei is still very big.It was a sensei that made me feel like I should try it.
— Did you push your back?
Kinoshita It was a completely different lesson from what I thought the piano lesson was like this.Even though I touched the keyboard a lot, I had no experience with the piano, but I had a strange knowledge, I could understand the harmony, I could read the score, but I couldn't play it.I wondered if I could play it if I practiced the technique, but it didn't lead to playing the technique or the equal song ...At that time, sensei said, "Even if you don't just stick to the technique, there are many things that you can naturally acquire the technique while practicing one song, so it's good to study various songs. Is it? "

Under the tree associated with Schubert's composition of "Bodhi"
— What made you decide to study abroad on the piano this time?
Kinoshita: From now on sensei, I consulted with sensei thinking that I would like to take the music college that accepts Japanese working people again. From sensei, I think it would be better to participate in both short-term and seminars in Vienna if you use the same energy.
— What made you choose sensei as your study abroad destination?
Kinoshita I didn't have any knowledge of sensei, and I didn't know the criteria for choosing it, so I was inspired by what And Vision recommended and the profile and photos on the homepage (laughs).
— It's amazing that it was decided by inspiration.
Kinoshita It was also great that Japanese sensei said, "You should also value the feeling you feel when you see the text and photos."
— How was it when you met?
Kinoshita It was a very warm sensei who cares for me.The first lesson was the day after I arrived in Vienna, but I said something like "How about your first lesson in Vienna?" Or "Did you sleep well yesterday?" He was the one who gave me.
— How was the content of the lesson?
Kinoshita It wasn't sweet at all, and he taught me properly. The most memorable thing is the mental and health aspects. He talked about how the mind and body should be when playing the piano. After all, the piano is something that people listen to in performances, so if the person playing the piano is nervous or playing with a cramped feeling, the listener will be more cramped and will never feel comfortable.I was told that in order for the listener to listen more comfortably and comfortably, I must first have a relaxed mind and a comfortable mental state. He also taught me how to sit down and that I should play with my whole body relaxed.
- So that's it.
Kinoshita Many students do, not just you, but they rush to get better, but that's not the case because it doesn't feel good to you or the listener. You have to be aware of how to practice. It may seem like a detour, but he told me that it's the most reliable way to practice little by little, and he taught me the lessons very carefully. He taught me the basics, the practice before playing the song, and the practice of finishing each song one by one, and it was really an eye-opener.
— The profile of sensei also said that you were polite, but that was true.
Kinoshita That's right. Finally, sensei said, "I really wanted to play while discussing with you,'How do you play here?', But I didn't have time, so I said one-sidedly." From those words, I can tell that he really respects me, who is immature.
— Did sensei play you during the lesson?
Kinoshita If you can't play well, don't know how to use your fingers, or don't use your arms well, sensei showed you a sample. When I first heard the sound of sensei, it was clear, beautiful and tears came out. As sensei himself said, you're relaxing and playing.
— What else left an impression on you?
Kinoshita When I first played with both hands, I was impressed by the fact that I was told to play without thinking.Until then, even if I thought about it and practiced, I said, "When I play a song, I don't think about anything and play it comfortably."At that time, I didn't immediately understand what sensei was saying, but as I practiced, I realized a little bit about what it means to play comfortably.
— It was a lesson that you will hear later.
Kinoshita That's right. I started practicing while remembering what sensei was told.
— You took the lesson without an interpreter, right?
Kinoshita Yes, I took the course in English. sensei's English was fluent.I haven't spoken for a long time, so I understand what you're saying, but it was difficult to convey my intentions.Even so, sensei said, "I hope you can speak slowly without being impatient," so I didn't have much trouble with English.
— Did you study English in Japan?
Kinoshita I didn't study for this study abroad program. The university was an English department, but I wasn't very good at speaking mainly in literature, but after graduating, I studied abroad in Australia several times, so I was able to make use of my experience and study. think.
— Have you studied German?
Kinoshita Well, I remembered only greetings, place names, and really simple words, and tried using them when I couldn't understand English, but I couldn't understand because the pronunciation was bad (laughs).
— How was the city of Vienna?
Kinoshita Everyone was kind enough to tell me when I got lost, and even if I was lost at the station, I told them which train to take and where to get off.
— Did you have a conversation in English?
Kinoshita Yes.I think about 10 out of 8 people in Vienna can speak English.
— Did you have any Japanese people?
I met people who came for sightseeing in Kinoshita, but I didn't meet people who lived there. There were many Japanese people on the plane, but it seems that not all of them were staying in Vienna.
— How was your practice room?
Kinoshita I took 20 hours and used it for 16 hours.I didn't have enough time to practice.I can't practice much in Japan, so I really enjoyed the practice and was a little unsatisfied. However, sensei told me that I had to come to Vienna so I wouldn't enjoy sightseeing in the city, so I put up with the practice and participated in a half-day sightseeing from the afternoon.
— Where did you go sightseeing?
Kinoshita I went to the Vienna Woods.I went to the land associated with Schubert's linden tree song and the castle on the edge of the Alps. After that, I went to a cafe and had a good coffee. The coffee was very delicious, and even the coffee in the pot that came with the breakfast at the hotel I stayed at was really delicious and I drank about 3 cups from the morning (laughs).
— What was your hotel like?
Kinoshita I didn't know that it was near the Votivkirche, and I asked the locals and sensei that it was a very historical hotel. The guide at the time of sightseeing also said that all the furnishings are genuine. The stairs were spiral staircases, and it was a classic place overall.
— How was the service?
Kinoshita The front desk was very polite. It's a little different from the service like a Japanese hotel man, but I didn't feel like I was rushing, but I felt that it was very elegant because it responded to me.
— Have you ever eaten outside?
Kinoshita Yes.There was Stein nearby, and there were many students from the University of Vienna, so I went there several times because it was a restaurant where I could easily eat.
— How much does it cost?
Kinoshita soup and pasta cost around 5.3-6 euros. It costs about 8 euros with coffee and 10 euros with dolce.I think it depends on how you eat it, but it was quite voluminous.I couldn't eat a lot by myself, so I felt that my stomach was quite heavy, unlike eating it separately by several people.
— Do you have any recommended foods?
Kinoshita Drink is coffee after all. Also, the original Cafe Sacher chocolate cake at the Sacher Hotel was really delicious. It was a high-purity chocolate. Also, the apple pie I ate at the recommendation of sensei was very delicious.
— How did you go back and forth between the hotel and the lesson venue?
Kinoshita I was traveling on the subway.I received the timetable very carefully, but since there are so many trains, trains came into the platform one after another before I saw the timetable (laughs).
— Was the subway station clean?
Kinoshita I think it depends on the route.I was using a line to go to university, but the line was relatively clean both inside and outside the station. However, the line going to the old town has graffiti in the car, and the station of the Opera House has people of various races in the long underpass, and there are people who smoke even though it is an underpass, so my impression was Wasn't very good. Before studying abroad, I was told to be careful about pickpockets, but I felt that it was probably the only one who suffered from pickpockets. However, if you are vigilant, you will not suffer much damage.
— Do you have any tips for getting along well with foreigners?
Kinoshita I think the most important thing is to answer with a smile. After that, I thought it was important to say hello clearly and convey it wholeheartedly without being shy or exposing my eyes. When communicating your intentions, I think it is important not to hesitate and to communicate clearly.
— What was the moment when you were happy to study abroad?
Kinoshita In the music lesson, I received valuable words from Rosler sensei at the beginning and end.Other than music, it's an encounter with people. When I get lost, the uncle of the tobacco shop kindly tells me, and the local people talk to me at the cafe and kindly. After that, I still go out for dinner with the Japanese people I met over there.I had many encounters like that.
— You met a lot of people in a week, didn't you?
Kinoshita That's right.I also saw people traveling in wheelchairs to get energy, or even though I got a job, I quit my job and saw people coming to see architecture and art, and I felt that there was vitality. ..
— Have you changed after studying abroad?
Kinoshita I've come to thank people very much. Not to mention the people I met and helped over there, but also the people who supported me before I went and the Japanese sensei made me think that I was able to study abroad in a fulfilling way. ..In playing music, it was a big thing that I was able to change my consciousness. When I was in Japan, I hadn't thought about it, and I was focusing on technique, but when Rosler sensei told me, "Please continue the lesson while valuing the inner part," the attitude toward the piano Has changed.
— Is there anything I should do well before studying abroad?
If you want to communicate well with Kinoshita sensei, I think you should learn English. If you understand the language, you can talk to sensei directly.I think it's best to think about the carp that was over there, and to find out what you think is anxious before you go.
— What kind of music activities do you want to do in the future?
Kinoshita If I have another chance, I would like to participate in the seminar.I would like to participate in the workshop and play with various people.I would like to continue at my own pace.
- Thank you very much today.
