-First of all, could you give us a brief introduction of yourself and your biography to date?
Murano: I was taught by my mother, a piano instructor, from the age of four, but I quit playing the piano when I entered junior high school. However, I continued to play it personally after that. When I was in high school, when I thought about my career path, I wanted to become a piano instructor, so I went to music education at a school called Kawai Music Academy. After that, I started teaching, but I decided that I should improve my piano skills, so I re-entered the piano department of the Faculty of Music at Ueno Gakuen University, and after that, I spend a little time playing while teaching.
-Have you participated in any other seminars besides this one?
Murano: With the help of And Vision, I participated in the Summer International Music Academy in Nice a few years ago.
-Nice, France, this time Austria, but have you ever been abroad?
Murano: I have been to Hawaii twice in Korea.
-What made you want to go to this Austrian class?
Murano: When I went to the Nice class, I brought Beethoven and Bach with me, but I was told that "If I attended the French class, I would have liked the French one."So I wondered if Austria could learn the music that was born there. Also, a friend who said he wanted to go with me suggested that Austria might be suitable for me, so I was completely interested in it and decided to go.
-Which instrument did you go with?
Murano: Actually, that person didn't go after all.
-So you were alone this time. How was it actually taking Bach and Beethoven lessons in Austria?
Murano: The performance of sensei was very nice.
-Did you feel different from Nice?
Murano: I think it's the same in terms of direction, but I wondered if the sound feels different. For example, is there any difference between sensei who grew up in France and sensei who grew up in Austria?I felt that there were very small differences depending on the early days and the time of the classics.
-Did sensei teach you about history while taking lessons?
Murano: Why do you play this even though this is an early stage?I was told that even the same composer would be different depending on the time of year.In terms of technology, I was taught how to express in pedaling.
-How many people participated in the seminar?
Murano: There are 9 people in all.
-What kind of people were participating?
Murano: There were high school students, ordinary high school children, and sound school students. There were various kinds of working people, including ordinary working people who had nothing to do with music.
-Did you go sightseeing with everyone?
Murano: We all went for an optional city tour after the first opening ceremony. After that, three people on the same flight that I entered from the previous day, when I had a free day, I used that day because it was a big deal.I may not be able to go with you once the class starts!I was sightseeing for two days in a row.I didn't think it would take one day the next day.
-So it feels like you've turned around quite a bit.
Murano: That's right. All three had their own guidebooks, and the places they wanted to go were quite decided. We all go around where we want to go, and we go to the Christmas market on a random basis.
-The season was Christmas!Did you have any special events in New Year?
Murano: I went to a concert.
-Are there any New Year events in town, such as fireworks?
Murano: Some people went out at night, but I heard that it was a little dangerous, so the group of girls only watched the fireworks from the room. Those who came as parents and children seemed to go to see it, and those who went with their father and daughter said that it was not as dangerous as I expected. It seems that it was fun. It's a flashy new year unlike Japan.
-It's very different from Japan, isn't it?
Murano: It's completely different. Fireworks went up until about 2 o'clock, and young people were making a lot of noise outside around 4 o'clock at dawn.Firecrackers started after 3:XNUMX in the evening.
At first I was scared to think that it was a shootout. When I went shopping, it was ringing in places, though not a lot.The townspeople were walking normally and didn't seem to be surprised at all, so I thought, "Is this the firecracker I heard in the rumor?"It increased steadily at night.
-You've been doing it grandly since the day before.
Murano: The fireworks are very gorgeous, and it's been around 12 o'clock.
-You enjoyed sightseeing too!How was the schedule for the seminar organized?
Murano: There were 4 lessons.I got a practice room every day for about 2 or 4 hours depending on the day.It was completely free on December 12st and January 31st when the practice room was closed.
-Is the practice room an environment where you can concentrate and practice?
Murano: One of the practice rooms had a strange design. You can't enter another room without going through the practice room.Maybe it helped us not to be there. We didn't have to interrupt our practice, but we were sorry to interrupt people's practice. There was a room with a glass door, but it was properly partitioned by a curtain, and if you closed it, you couldn't see it from the outside.
-It was really an individual practice room, wasn't it?
Murano: Everyone had good manners and took turns when the time came.
-There are quite a few people here.
Murano: I wonder if I didn't get angry because it wasn't a school. You are paying for it.If I didn't notice it in time, it would be a ton ton, so I was out about a minute ago.
-You were able to come and go at the right time. What kind of person was sensei after actually taking the sensei lesson?
Murano: This time, I was able to receive it from two sensei. Both of them were very fond of music, and they seemed to enjoy the lessons very much.It was pointed out that I should say it, but overall, I was told that I think I like this song.
-How was your personality? He was friendly and quiet.
Murano: I thought that one sensei would be really cheerful and very popular.
-By the way, which sensei?
Murano: This is Karbaat sensei. It was a soft atmosphere and I felt like I could go without being wary from the beginning, but Stephan Arnold sensei was very scared at first.
I really feel like an aura.It was scary, or something like "changing the air."
-Did it change when you actually talked about it?
Murano: He pointed out very well, but he made jokes here and there and gave me lessons with laughter.
-You were able to take lessons with two sensei who have different characters. How was the staff?
Murano: I met two people, but there were many aspects that helped me to follow me very much.
-For example, what do you mean?
Murano: In my spare time, he talked about the class in a chat.If I was thinking of going to the city alone in my spare time, there was only one staff member who provided tourist information, so be careful even in the daytime, even just before going to the lesson venue for an interpreter. He gave me some advice.
Besides, he was also concerned about his life. Consideration was also encouraged for young participants, such as "Please watch carefully for high school students" and "Please go to the concert at night when you can go together".
-How many staff members were there?
Murano: I met only two interpreters, but I think it would be a little more if we included accompaniment.
-So it's like 5 or 6 people.I briefly asked you what you learned in the lesson earlier, but have you learned anything else?
Murano: Bert sensei was carefully taught how to play.Arnold sensei was a very tough lesson, including the knowledge as a performer, although the performance was also detailed.
-What was your teaching?
Murano: The importance of the accuracy of the secret score, how to assemble the practice, etc.We all listened to the lecture.Arnold sensei said that when he first went to the lecture, he was aware of the audience.Tips to attract the audience from the beginning. It reminded me that I was practicing forgetting to be listened to, or that I was actually doing it to let the audience know.
-In what language did you take the lesson?
Murano: I had an interpreter, so it's in German.
-Are there any people who have received it in English?
Murano: Yes.There was a sensei in English, who was taking the course in English without an interpreter. When I was listening, the lesson time was pushed, and it was time for an interpreter to come out.At that time, I explained the situation to the students, and from there it was in English. There was no problem because he made it easy to understand and made it easy to understand.
-Did you have much trouble there?
Murano: There was none at all.
-Did you have a concert or closing ceremony at the end of the lesson or the end of the class?
Murano: There was no ceremony, but there was an end concert.
-What kind of concert was it?
Murano: It was a concert using a small palace that citizens can enter.
-Did you have a lot of local customers?
Murano: It seems that everyone is going out to play, so it seems that there aren't many people in Vienna because they will come back just after the class is over.It seems that there are many tourists.
-Did you feel that tourists were sitting and listening?
Murano: Do you all know?It was posted outside, but I don't know what kind of announcement it is.
-So it seems that the local customers didn't sit down very much.
Murano: That's right.
-Did you have the opportunity to perform in public during the class other than the concert?
Murano: There was a class concert, and it was all.
-Do you mean that you will be played in front of the students?
Murano: That's right.
-Did you feel nervous?
Murano: If anything, I've met for a few days, so I was more relieved than someone I didn't know.At first, some children said that they wouldn't like listening to the lectures.I said it's okay for people who know it to feel more at ease than people who don't, and maybe everyone was like that.
-What were you doing outside of the lessons?
Murano: I went sightseeing.
-Where did you go?
Murano: Belvedere Palace and the nearby Christmas market. There is a market called Nashmarkt near the venue of the class concert, and the students who already live in Vienna took me after the concert.I ate lunch there lightly and it was very delicious. It was mentioned in the guidebook, but I wasn't sure if we could go by ourselves, but we were able to take a look at it and eat rice.I also went to Schoenbrunn Palace. That's about sightseeing.
-When I was sightseeing in the city, I think it was unusual because there was a New Year in terms of security, but how was the security before and after the New Year? mosquito?
Murano: I felt that there was nothing so bad.The place where I was was safe. However, there was a story that I witnessed a Japanese couple selling flowers while others were acting differently. That wasn't the case among the students.
-Isn't there so much danger of pickpocketing?
Murano: I think everyone was careful about pickpockets.Everyone had a small bag with a diagonal cliff for valuables, and then put the score in a large bag, so no one would fit the pickpocket. Also, he says he behaves like a local.
-Sure, that's important, isn't it?I don't want to go crazy ...
How was your accommodation?Murano: The staff was also very good. The hotel was really good.
-No trouble around the water?
Murano: There was none at all.The water over there didn't fit my mouth and I originally intended not to drink tap water, so as soon as I got there, we all went to the supermarket and bought water.I bought several types because I thought they might not fit my taste, but none of them fit. There were some manufacturers that sold it in Japan, but the taste was a little different and it wasn't delicious.
However, a few days later, the interpreter told me that I could drink tap water in the practice room, so I tried it and drank it, and it was the most delicious. It's like spring water or something.
It was written in my book that people who are interested should buy mineral water, but tap water, which I thought was bad because it was a foreign country, was the most delicious. Then, the hotel would be the same water, so if you want to drink tap water, it's still the easiest to drink.Instead of buying water from there, I used to draw it into a plastic bottle and use the water in my room for tea.
-Isn't it closer to soft water coming out of the faucet?
Murano: Mineral water has a taste peculiar to foreign countries, and it didn't really suit me, so it didn't feel delicious.I can't drink it, but I don't want to drink it.The tap water was the least habit and I could drink it very much.Is tap water soft water?
-Europe has the image of hard water.
Murano: I was the only one who said that mineral water was not good, and I was alone saying that it was not delicious.
-How was the size of your room?
Murano: It was quite wide. The bath is a shower room without a bathtub. It was small when closed, but it was quite large with a water supply, a toilet and a shower room. The bedroom was quite large, and I could walk around even if I had a bed, and it was large enough.I also had a closet, so I was able to hang all my clothes.
-Did you have a safe?
Murano: I searched for a safe, but I didn't find it.
-You managed it yourself, didn't you?How did you wash your clothes?
Murano: I washed my hands in the room.
-Did you bring the detergent from Japan?
Murano: I brought it.I also bought a laundry string for travel. It can be used in various places, so I used to connect a closet and a coat rack and dry it.
-Basically, you didn't have any problems.
Murano: There wasn't.
-How was the air conditioning?
Murano: It was warm at the beginning.Even if the room wasn't air-conditioned, I think the corridor was there, so it was warm and the inside of the room wasn't cold, so there were many days when I didn't use it.There were two very cold days, and when I thought the room was cold only on that day, it seems that I hadn't turned on the air conditioner all the time.I put it on that day, but when I put it on, it got hotter.
-But was it cold when you went out?
Murano: That's right.
-Is the heating working in the hotel?
Murano: It was quite comfortable.
-How did your hotel and the venue of the seminar move?
Murano: It was one on the subway.
-Did it be difficult to buy tickets?
Murano: Arranged by And Vision.I made it all out of the printed paper. The concert ticket was the same, only the barcode part was broken.I could do it all with a printout ticket, but I really thought I should lose the paper.I was never asked to show my ticket on the subway. However, in some cases, I was told to bring it with me.
-How long have you been using it?
Murano: There are mornings, and when the concert is late, it's 9 pm. I think I was back before 10 o'clock.
-Is it quite crowded?
Murano: Not that much. But when I went to the practice room at 9 am, I think it was a bit of a rush hour to work.
-Next is the meal, but what did you basically eat?
Murano: Hotel in the morning. The food at the hotel was really recommended and delicious. It was a buffet style, and I didn't get tired of it because it changed to something different every day.The croissants were really delicious. There is also a machine to bake waffles. The dough is prepared, and it's like measuring it with a timer and baking it.The yogurt was also very delicious.
-It fits your taste perfectly.
Murano: There were lots of cheeses and so on.
-How was your lunch or dinner?
Murano: When I got home for lunch, I sometimes went back and ate it because I had to get rid of what I brought from Japan for emergency food. When the class started, the time was often not right, so when the time was right, we all went to a nearby shop.
-How much was one meal for eating out?
Murano: How much was it?I haven't been to such a high place, but I think I ate quite a lot for 1,000 yen or 2,000 yen.
-Is it quite volumey?
Murano: Yes.I was able to eat a full stomach at a fairly low price.
-Did you eat anything famous?
Murano: I thought that the recommendation of the child who took me would be good, so I had a set of sautéed chicken and rice.I was talking about wanting to eat rice as well.
-You can also eat rice.
Murano: There was.Go for it.It's different from Japanese rice, but he took me because he could eat it.
-Did you see rice other than restaurants?
Murano: I was taken to a shop that sells Japanese products.I brought cup noodles from Japan to eat Toshikoshi soba, but the other children bought them at a local shop for about twice the price of Japan. It's a shop where you can buy rice, miso, soy sauce, etc. if you miss Japanese people.
-Did you have a chance to interact with local Europeans?
Murano: It's about the shop staff.
-Is it sensei after that?
Murano: That's right.
-Have you ever interacted with sensei outside of lessons?
Murano: That wasn't the case.It was only a lesson.
-Are there any other problems during the class or studying abroad?
Murano: The short mail from the local staff seems to have a different number, so I didn't receive the other one. That was a bit of a problem. ..
-It's okay if the numbers are distributed.
Murano: That's right.Another child taught me, and when I tried it, I was able to communicate, so it was okay.
-What was the best moment when you attended this class?
Murano: I'm glad that I was able to reconsider my involvement in music.
-Do you think that you have changed or grown up through this workshop?
Murano: Going back to the previous story, I began to think deeply about the preparation stage.
-There is a long distance in Europe, and what do you think is the major difference between Japan and your study abroad destination?
Murano: It's a difference in language. The pronunciation is different depending on the area, so I thought it would be easy to play.I think that the range is different between French and German, so I wonder if the sounds are different. It seems that there are times when you know that this is Japanese.
-Is there anything you would like to give advice to those who are going to study abroad, regardless of whether it is a seminar or a long-term study abroad program?
Murano: If you are thinking of studying abroad in the future, I think it's better to be as soon as possible.
-Is it better to do it before you can experience it?
Murano: That's right. Also, the absorption power when you are young is amazing.Everyone was talking that if they had decided to go, it would be faster. If you are worried, you should go, or if you are starting to study a language, you should go.He said that the high school student who was with him this time also decided that it would be better to go early.
-Are there any things you should prepare before studying abroad or do well?
Murano: I think everyone is doing music properly, so it's a language.
-Did Murano talk about something without going through sensei and the interpreter?
Murano: I tried my best to introduce myself.I was studying how to order in German for a while at the store.
-Did it work?
Murano: When traveling alone, use German as much as possible for money. Please listen to me over there. It was slow, so I wish I could do this more smoothly.
-Isn't it like a language first?
Murano: That's right.
-Lastly, do you have any plans for future activities?
Murano: As usual, I would like to balance performance and instruction, and if possible, increase the number of performances.
-Please do your best by making the best use of your experience in this workshop!Thank you for today.
