-First of all, please tell us a brief introduction and your biography up to now.
Yagi: My name is Sesshu Yagi, the cello player.
I am currently enrolled in the Toho Gakuen College Soloist Diploma Course.
In competitions, I have won 3rd place at the All Japan Music Competition.
-Have you ever attended a seminar?Have you been abroad?
Yagi: When I was in high school, I participated in master classes at the Ishikawa Music Academy and the Kirishima International Music Festival.
This is the first time I have attended a seminar abroad.
-What made you want to go to this class?
Yagi: I saw sensei's performance on the internet and wanted to learn, and I also like France so I wanted to go there.
-How many participants were there?What kind of people were participating?
Yagi: There were about 15 students in the sensei class.There were many students of the same age, most of them French, but they came from various countries to attend the seminar.
 
-What was the schedule for the seminar?
Yagi: The schedule was divided into four groups, and each person had a lesson of about an hour.
My assistant, sensei, was also there, so there were 7 lessons in total.
- What kind of person was Jérôme Pernod sensei?
Yagi: Jérôme Pernod sensei was a very funny and kind sensei.
You taught me that the lesson is also very study.
-In what language did you take the lesson?
Ms. Yagi: The lessons were given in English and French, but I had a Japanese interpreter, so I learned a lot.
-What did you learn in the lesson?Is there anything that left an impression on you as a result of what you learned?
Yagi: There were a lot of new ideas in the lesson, and I was able to make various discoveries, such as teaching me things that will be useful in the future.
-Did you have a concert at the end of the lesson?
Yagi: I was selected for a concert at a local seminar, so I performed the 4th movement of Elgar's Concerto.
-Where did you practice?
Yagi: We practiced in our hotel room.
-How was your accommodation?
Yagi: The accommodation was near the seminar venue, and breakfast and dinner were included, which was very helpful.
-How did your accommodation and training venue move?
Yagi: I walked to the hotel and the seminar venue.The cello player was able to move around, so the lesson was held in a place close to the hotel.
-How was the public order in the city?
Yagi: The seminar venue was at an altitude of 2,000m, so it was a little chilly, but the scenery was wonderful, including the lake.
-Did you talk to your classmates?
Yagi: I was able to meet people in the same sensei class.I tried my best to speak French and it was fun.
-How was your meal?
Yagi: I often ate at the hotel, but sometimes I went out to eat with people I met there for lunch.
When I went out to eat with a French person, they ordered the recommended dish, and it left an impression on me that it was very delicious.
-Did you have any problems while studying abroad?
Yagi: Basically, there was none.I was able to participate with peace of mind.
-Is there anything you would like to give advice to those who will study abroad in the future?
Yagi: I'm glad I went because there are things I can feel more first-hand when I actually go there rather than researching it in Japan.
-What are your future activities?Please let me know if you have a career path.
Yagi: I am considering studying abroad for my future plans.
