Born in Ulyanovsk, Russia, Maria Kehrer enrolled in the then Leningrad Central Music School at the age of 10. After graduating from music school at the top in 1980, he entered the Leningrad Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory and studied under Oleg Malov.At the same time, he studied song accompaniment under Irina Nadina and chamber music under Elena Shafran, and in 1985 won the second prize in the song accompaniment competition of the Conservatory.He also performed with the orchestra as a soloist, and then regularly performed as a soloist, chamber musician and song accompaniment.Widely used in Austrian and Dutch radio and television performances, performances at numerous music festivals, and master classes. He has been teaching at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna since 2.Many of the students have achieved brilliant grades, and many prizewinners in international competitions have been produced.With decades of teaching experience, Maria Kehrer's lessons cater to students of all levels.The repertoire also covers a wide range from baroque to modern times.The lessons are not only techniques, but also sound, musical imagination, understanding of styles and songs, especially for exam preparation and production lessons, and welcome lessons for children and young students.
