Alison Plante studied at the University of Chicago and went to Cambridge University as an exchange student.He has a unique background as he is well versed in keyboards and singing, and has played the gamelan, the folk music of Southeast Asia, for three years.An experienced conductor of both orchestras and choirs, she is the founder of Treble Cove Music, a music composition business. Over the course of her 3+ years as a composer, she has worked on educational television series, History Channel, PBS specials and TV commercials, as well as documentary films, short films and theatrical productions.She has her name on some of her newest projects, including multimedia exhibits at the Harvard Museum of Natural History and the Smithsonian Institution.Her musical excellence has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Janet Gates Peckham International Award and the Olga and Paulmen Foundation Award.In recognition of those achievements and her achievements as an educator, in 16 she became the first female chairman of the Department of Film Music Composition at Berklee College of Music.
