Peter Laul was born into a family of musicians in the ancient capital of Russia, St. Petersburg. He studied and trained under Professor Alexander Sandler at the prestigious St. Petersburg Conservatory. In 1995, he won the Bach Best Performance Award in addition to the 3rd place prize at the Bremen International Piano Competition. He not only won first place in the tournament in 97, but this time he won the Schubert Sonata's Best Performance Award. In 1, he won the Scriabin International Piano Competition in Moscow, and the following year he was awarded the Medal of Honor by the Ministry of Culture of Russia for his achievements in art. As a soloist, he has become a well-known pianist recognized by the Russian government, and regularly co-stars with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra, and the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also performed with prominent conductors such as Maxim Shostakovich and Valery Gergiev. His performance activities transcend national borders and continue to fascinate the audience by appearing in halls around the world such as the Louvre Museum, Lincoln Center in NY, and Suntory Hall in Tokyo, as well as music festivals around the world. Laul's co-stars, who are not only soloists but also chamber musicians, are violinists Maxim Vengerov and other great musicians. He has also recorded many CDs from Harmonia Mundi and others. He is also enthusiastic about his education and teaches at his alma mater, St. Petersburg Conservatory. Experienced Professor Peter Raul's lessons can be a valuable asset.
