French pianist Olivier Gardon was discovered by Hungarian pianist Lili Kraus at the age of seven and played Bach's D minor concerto at the Opera in Nice at the age of ten.Having a background as a professional pianist at an early age, he studied at the Nice Regional Conservatory and the National Conservatory of Music in Paris, won the Grand Prix at the Long-Thibaud International Competition, and received awards at numerous competitions such as the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition.
