Gerard Schubert, who served as the second violin part leader of the Vienna Philharmonic, is a world-class musician with excellent technique and sensitivity.He was born in Vienna, went to the Vienna Music High School and went to the Vienna State University of Music, where he learned from Alfred Stahl, the first violinist of the Vienna Philharmonic, and his sound can be said to be very typical of Vienna.He began his professional career as an orchestral player when he was in high school.His skill was recognized by the master Bernstein, and he joined Bernstein's orchestra of young musicians, touring all over Europe.Not only was he recognized by Bernstein.During his university days, he was selected as a commas in a music festival organized by the genius violinist Gidon Kremer.He officially started playing professionally in 1979.He started as a member of the Vienna State Opera Orchestra and in 1982 became a member of the Vienna Philharmonic. He is also an experienced teacher, having been teaching students as an assistant to his teacher since 1983. Since 1999, he has been in charge of classes as a professor at the Vienna State University of Music, and has trained many young members of the Vienna Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, and the Vienna Opera Orchestra.As you can see from his name, he is also a relative (blood relation) of the great composer Schubert.
