He began his professional career in the mid-1980s, but his fresh sound caught the hearts of a worldwide audience, and shortly after his debut, he jumped to the international arena.He has been active on stages and on television and radio around the world, including Europe, Asia and Africa.Critics are not the only ones who appreciate him. Between 1986 and 2002, he received a whopping 13 awards at the competition of Germany's oldest jazz magazine, Jazzpodium, and from the city of Berlin, two awards for outstanding jazz musicians. It has also won the award. He has been teaching jazz at the Hans Eisler College of Music since 1993 and has been teaching at the Berlin University of the Arts since 1999. He teaches jazz piano and jazz ensembles.
