Mark Momers, who leads his own band and goes to the center of contemporary jazz, teaches his favorite time signature and improvisation.
No modern jazz men are as interesting as Mark Momers.While learning the saxophone from authentic American big names such as Dave Liebman and Joe Lovano, his sound has a European atmosphere and is said to be reminiscent of Scandinavian jazz master Jan Garbarek.The playing style is progressive modern jazz, but not as radical as avant-garde.In other words, he is an adult musician who knows the degree even in the extreme.He has performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and has released three CDs as a bandleader.In particular, the performance that shows its true character in songs with odd time signatures (mixed time signatures) and has a wonderfully complex beat is praised by the leading jazz magazine "Cadence Jazz Magazine", saying that "it has a beauty almost similar to classical music". It is a talented group to be played.Mark has taught at the Manhattan Conservatory, The New School College in New York, and the Amsterdam Conservatory.For intermediate and advanced players, there is also a strange time signature course that he is good at.Any type of saxophone is OK, from soprano to baritone.
