After moving to the United States in 1980, he studied under Philly Joe Jones, a pioneer of bop drum playing with Miles Davis, and individual veteran drummer Louis Hayes, and struck the real jazz into his body.Based in New York, he has been active and has played at top jazz clubs such as Village Vanguard, Blue Note and Sweet Basil, as well as at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.Also, the faces of past co-stars are amazing.That great trumpeter, Dizzy Gillespie, guitarist George Benson, 60s soul jazz giant Dr. Ronnie Smith, and popular talented saxophone player Kenny Garrett.With Lou Donaldson, the leading funky saxophone player, he is still performing around the world.In addition to his own performances, he also spares no guidance or advice to young Japanese musicians who travel to the United States.
