Since 2010, he has been a professor at Showa University of Music.While going back and forth between Japan and France, he will focus on the development of the Japanese violin world.He is still active as an active musician.
Gerard Poulet, a French violinist and a great educator, has made a name for himself in the world. He had a father, Gaston Poulet, who co-starred when Debussy premiered the violin sonatas in 1917, and demonstrated his genius from an early age. He entered the National Conservatory of Music in Paris at the age of 11 and studied under masters such as Henryk Szeryng, who calls himself a "master of life." He started his illustrious career when he won the Paganini International Competition at the age of 18. Even now, when he is over 74 years old, he continues to perform and is a judge at major international competitions in each country.After working as a visiting professor at Tokyo University of the Arts, he became a visiting professor at Showa University of Music in 2010.He has been invited to numerous Japanese music colleges and has produced many competition winners and top prizewinners among his students.His contribution to the development and level-up of the Japanese violin world is immeasurable.He lives a life that goes back and forth between Japan and France, and he loves Japan as "now is the best of his life".He praises the students in Japan, saying, "It's the first time in his life to have such good students." A good understanding of Japanese violinists who sympathize with "Japanese heart, compassion, politeness, and correctness of discipline."He will continue to focus on teaching young violinists who are about to take off to the world stage.
