Norman Krieger Professor at Indiana University Jacobs Conservatory / Piano Lessons

City: Bloomington

Learn an American classical piano with a comfortable free breeze.

Learn from Norman, a professor at Indiana University Jacobs Conservatory, who specializes in Bach, Prokofiev, and Gershwin with a jazz feel.
Born and raised in California, Norman Krieger is a pianist with a free American sensibility. The breadth of the repertoire is distinctive, and he specializes in songs with various trends, from orthodox ones such as Bach and Beethoven to works by Pulitzer Prize composer John Adams, Leonard Bernstein, and jazz-filled Gershwin. ..This may seem like a popular player, but it's not. After graduating from The Juilliard School, he studied abroad in England and is learning the orthodox playing style of Alfred Brendel, a famous pianist who goes on the royal road of classical music, and Maria Kurcho, a disciple of Schnabel and a famous educator. ..His ability to win the American Palm Beach Invited International Piano Competition and receive an award from the Paderewski Foundation is highly regarded by leading American critics. He has continued to perform with famous American orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic and Boston Pops, and has released four CDs including a solo CD so far.He is also a Steinway artist. After working as an associate professor at the University of Southern California, he currently teaches at the prestigious Indiana University Jacobs Conservatory. It teaches various techniques including finger stretching according to each student.
