Ricardo Tamura, a tenor singer from São Paulo, Brazil, is a science musician who was a leader in geology and physics at the University of São Paulo.At the suggestion of soprano singer Licia Albanese, who heard his wonderful singing voice, he entered the prestigious Juilliard School in New York and began to study vocal music in earnest.After that, he studied at the Verdi Conservatory, the Kiziana Conservatory, the Zurich Opera Studio, etc., and he honed his singing voice and expressiveness. He made his opera debut in Kassel, Germany. His singing voice, which was praised as "the high note has an absolute sense of stability," quickly gained a reputation and became one of the famous singers.Especially in the German-speaking world, he has performed in more than 50 roles in operas, operettas and musicals. In the 07/08 season, he made his debut at the Nuremberg Opera House with the title role of Gounod's "Faust".After that, he appeared in Verdi's "Don Carlo".He made his name known to the world by playing Don Jose of "Carmen" in Düsseldorf and "Turandot" Carafe in Volksoper in Vienna. In 2013, he made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera "Tosca" in Kavaladossi, and has appeared frequently in the theater.Recently, he co-starred with the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Puccini's birth.He also performed in Nuremberg's outdoor square, Luitbolthain, in front of 6 spectators.This is your chance to learn from an active singer with a diverse repertoire.
