Yehudi Menuhin School is a prestigious music school for children located in Stoke Dabanon, England. As the school name suggests, it was founded in 1963 by American violinist Yehudi Menuhin.Menuhin has traveled the world as a performer for over 30 years. In it, the encounter with many children, who had musical talent but did not have sufficient musical education and opportunities, moved him.Our school was established in this way.Currently, the president is Daniel Barenboim. In the curriculum, students aged 8 to 18 who have passed the selection test are selected into four groups, taking into consideration not only their age but also their technical level. Each small class offers advanced music education such as composition, improvisation and oral training. In addition to music skills and knowledge, general education courses are also taken so that students can acquire basic academic ability and culture. It also covers all the subjects required to pass the GCSE and A Level of the UK National Unified Examination. From this, we can see that it is a music school where Menuhin's desire to raise children into musicians with excellent personalities is crystallized, rather than the principle of technological supremacy. The school is boarding and is surrounded by quiet countryside.Since it is located in a safe place, it is an environment where even small children can learn with confidence. There is also an English lesson class (EFL) so you don't have to worry about your language. It's the perfect environment to immerse yourself in music in a small community 4 hours a day.
