The Faculty of Music is known for its cutting-edge education and provides an exciting learning environment for students to develop their talents.The faculty includes world-class musicians, composers and scholars, and private lessons are taught by members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.All programs are attractive because they are directly taught by experts.In the university course, we offer a BA degree in music + other subjects, a BM degree in performance (instrumental music, vocal music), music theory, and music history.Elective subjects include jazz history and jazz theory, and you can study a wide range of subjects.In the graduate course, we offer MA degree in composition, music theory and music history, and MM degree in performance (including conducting, piano chamber music & accompaniment).In addition, you can earn a PhD degree in composition, historical musicology & music theory.For composition, a combination of MA and PhD is possible.In addition, a graduate-level music library science course is available.A good music librarian is a noteworthy program, as employment needs have increased in recent years.
