Traditional Italian school learned by Toscanini and Michelangelo & Claudio Abbado

The culture-filled environment of the tradition of Italian music education, beautiful school buildings, talented faculty and the modern sensibilities of young students will inspire your senses.
The Parma Conservatory was founded in 1769 as the Royal Academy of Music, with the vocal school established in 1877 as the mother body.Since then, we have been proud of our high quality music education and have produced many excellent musicians. To name it, you can see that the school has made a significant contribution to the music world. For example, Parma-born and world-famous maestro Arturo Toscanini, Italy's leading composers Ildebrando Pizzetti, Gian Francesco Malipiero, and Paganini's famous Federico Montpelio learned. In addition, Michelangelo & Claudio Abbado's second generation of parents and children have also gained valuable experience at the school.
Although it is a traditional school with a long history, it is characterized by its innovative aspect of implementing academic educational reforms for each era. From 2004, the traditional Italian education system was gradually abolished, and it became possible to obtain university-level qualifications.Currently, there are two courses, Level I, which is equivalent to a university (Bachelor's degree) for three years, and Level II, which is equivalent to a graduate school (Master's degree) for two years. It is attractive that students can receive thorough practical training such as high-level seminars by guest musicians as well as collaborations with local operas and orchestras. At the end of your studies, you will be awarded a world-class certificate by the European Parliament, the Commission and UNESCO at the same time as your diploma, so you can confidently move on to the next step.
The facility is suitable for an excellent conservatory and is fully equipped with private classrooms, studios, computer labs, electronic music and sound facilities, listening rooms, museums, collections of ancient musical instruments, and online connections.Furthermore, there is no doubt that the performance activities in the small hall with the organ and the large hall using the monastery will stimulate the five senses.Learning in this historic and beautiful school building, dating back to the 14th century, will be an irreplaceable experience.
