St. Cloud State University was founded in 1869 as a normal school.It continued to grow into an educational institution that opens up future opportunities for students and became a university in 1975.It is now the largest member of the Minnesota State University System and the second largest university in the state.Surrounded by the beautiful nature of the Mississippi River, the campus is about an hour away from the state capital, Minneapolis, and offers a calm environment.Currently, there are more than 2 students enrolled, including more than 1 students from about 80 countries around the world.With over 1,000 programs in a wide range of disciplines, it is characterized by the ability to receive reliable lessons in a cozy class from well-known professors at home and abroad.
The Faculty of Music develops reliable music education that meets future needs while being based on tradition.With the enthusiastic guidance of excellent professors and the ensemble activities described below, we convey a sense of fulfillment through music from the campus and local communities to the world.In the university course, jazz, music & new media, BA degree in music theory / composition, BS degree in music education (voice & general music, instrumental music & general music), performance (instrumental music, voice music), BM degree in piano teaching method Offering acquisition courses.In addition, there are music + graduate course preparatory courses (law, medicine, business, pharmacy, dentistry).The graduate course will offer MM courses in conducting, piano education, and music education, but please note that we are not recruiting new students as we are applying for approval from the fall of 2011.
At the center of the campus is the Performing Arts Center, which is also the school building for the Faculty of Music and the Faculty of Drama, Film and Dance.Inside, there are halls, studios, laboratories, etc. equipped with the latest equipment.Based here, students participate in music groups such as orchestras, choirs, brass bands, jazz, and sports bands.Concerts are held on a daily basis, so depending on your motivation, you will be able to improve and gain the strength of the actual performance.
