Northern Illinois University was founded in 1895 as the Illinois State Normal School. It grew into a state college in 1955 and became Northern Illinois University in 1957.Currently, there are more than 100 students from about 23,000 countries around the world and about 1,200 professors.There are 1 students per professor, and the average class size is 18 students.
At the Faculty of Music, about 60 professors from home and abroad are instructing students to maximize their potential.
