In 2000, the historic Metropolitan United Church was renovated.The school building was relocated and became a music school that plays a central role in local culture.The school is open to anyone who loves music, from infants to the elderly, beginners to advanced professionals.There is a wide range of majors in instrumental and vocal music, and you can choose a course that suits your interests and goals.However, foreigners, including Japanese, will be required to take a long-term course that allows them to issue visa documents.
Long-term courses include a certificate of completion (1 year) and a classical or jazz diploma (2 years) course.The certificate of completion course includes instrumental music and vocal music (classical, jazz) majors.The classical diploma course offers composition, instrumental music and vocal music, and the jazz diploma course offers instrumental music and vocal music.This course is a university accredited program as it is a partnership program with the Faculty of Music at Camosun College.It will be attractive to be able to use the facilities of both schools such as the hall and library, as well as student services.
