Lucerne University of Music was founded in 1997 as the Faculty of Music of Lucerne University of Science and Arts.The university is a comprehensive university consisting of five departments: technical engineering / architecture, business, social welfare, art / design, and music.Currently, 5 students are enrolled in bachelor's and master's programs throughout the university.The European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) is adopted, and the innovative curriculum of international standards and the latest equipment are attractive.The Faculty of Music has bachelor's and master's programs in the fields of classical and jazz.You can also learn rhythmic and church music (chant, conducting, organ) in the bachelor's course only.Depending on the instructor, individual lessons that can be taught in English or Japanese other than German will be great for international students.

In the master's course, we aim to obtain MA. The school works closely with local industry, business and cultural arts institutions such as the Lucerne Festival Academy, the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and the Lucerne Theater.It is a leader in the music culture of the region.
