The Sydney Conservatory was founded in 1915 by its predecessor, the NSW State Conservatory, with the aim of providing music education at the same level and content as the European Conservatory.Known as Australia's first conservatory.Since its inception, it has provided innovative performance training-centric education and taught music to people of all ages, both domestically and internationally.Currently, many artists and scholars are invited as lecturers, and our goal is to nurture the next generation of talented musicians.
In the university course, you can get a B.Mus. in composition, music education, musicology, performance (classical, jazz), and a BA degree in music research.Flexible programs such as opera, performance diplomas, and double majors are also attractive.The graduate program offers M.Mus. Degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates of Completion courses in Conducting, Performance, Opera, Creative Sound Production, and Music Education.The research course offers M.Mus. Degree acquisition courses in composition, music education, musicology, and performance.In addition, you can go on to doctoral courses such as DMA and Ph.D. degrees.These in-depth educational programs foster students' deep academic knowledge, musical skills and artistry.
The school is also affiliated with leading overseas music colleges such as the Royal College of Music, the Royal College of Music, the Royal Northern College of Music, the Freiburg College of Music, and the Shanghai College of Music. It is also known for its vigorous research, exchange programs, and workshops. The campus actively holds concerts and recitals such as opera, jazz, and chamber ensemble.
