Founded in 1899, San Francisco State University is part of a group of 23 California State Universities.The campus is located in an extremely artistic area.It is close to San Francisco (SF) opera, science fiction ballet, science fiction symphony orchestra, science fiction jazz, and the Fillmore district, which is closely related to jazz.The Faculty of Music & Dance has world-class instructors such as musicians, performers and researchers.They will lead you to success in the school's goal of "a place for music education that connects students, music and the urban community."In the university course, we offer a BA degree in music research (world music, jazz, classic, electronic music) + general education, and a BM degree in performance, composition, jazz, music history & literature, and music education.The graduate program offers MA degrees in composition studies, music history & literature, and music education, as well as MM degrees in classical performance (solo), chamber music, and conducting (chorus, orchestra).
