Famous for producing traditional pottery, Limoges is a quiet city in central France.Toson Shimazaki is also known to have stayed, and many Japanese students are staying there.In 1987, the Limoges Conservatory of Music set up the traditional musical instrument course, which had been neglected until then, for the first time in France.As the core course of the school, we have endeavored to restore and popularize the status of traditional musical instruments. In 1998, we established a graduation diploma (DEM: Music Research Qualification) course together with Kunitachi College of Music, and in 2007, we became the same (CRR) from the National Conservatory of Music (CNR).About 1,700 students and about 80 instructors are enrolled.We have produced many traditional musical instrument musicians and amateur musicians who are active in the world.Its traditional instrument majors include diatonic accordion, chablet limousin (limoges cablet), corne muse (French bagpipe), viel a roux, violin traditionnel, oxitania music, ensemble and vocal music. ..Of course, general majors are also substantial.Practical performances include piano, harp, percussion, accompaniment, violin, viola, cello, contrabass, guitar, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, sax, horn, cornet, trumpet, trombone, tuba, voice, and accordion.Lecture subjects include solfege, music analysis, music history, and ecriture (harmonic, counterpoint).Ensemble classes include orchestra conducting, orchestra, chamber music, chorus, ensemble, and depending on the project, ballet, opera, oratorio, musicals, and more.The school's educational program consists of three courses and a professional training course (CEPI).The first course is an introductory course, the second course is to learn the basics, and the third course aims to obtain a certificate of completion (CEM: Music Research Qualification Certificate).At CEPI, you can also aim to obtain the National Vocational Guidance Qualification (DNOP).
