The City Conservatory of Paris was founded in 1978. In 1991, the National Conservatory of Music in Paris moved from 14 Madrid Street behind Saint-Lazare Station to Villette Park in the 19th arrondissement.After that, the Paris Conservatory of Paris was reorganized at 14 Madrid Street, and the school building was rebuilt from 1994 to 1996 so that students could concentrate more on their practice. In 2007, the name was changed from the Paris National Conservatory of Music (CNR) to the Paris Conservatory of Paris (CRR).Partnership with Boulogne-Billancourt Conservatory, Paris III University (Saintsier), Paris Fourth University (Sorbonne).With the approval of the French Ministry of Culture for higher education in the arts, it has become possible to obtain a European-level music diploma (DNSPM: National Musician Professional Qualification) from September 3.

Currently 1,700 students are enrolled and more than 300 public events are held each year.Educational programs include specialized and advanced courses, as well as concertist courses, with the exception of courses for local children.In the specialized course, we aim to acquire a graduation diploma (DEM: music research qualification) and comprehensively study music, and in the advanced course, we aim to acquire an advanced graduation diploma (DEMS: advanced music research qualification), which is one step before becoming a professional musician.In addition, in the advanced specialized course (PSPBB) aiming to acquire the DNSPM mentioned above, it is possible to major in instrumental music or vocal music.In 2018, CPES (Cycle Préparatoire à l'Enseignement Supérieu) was newly established as a course aiming to pass the National Academy of Music.
