The Lyon Conservatory of Music was founded in 1872 and became a branch school of the National Conservatory of Music in Paris in 1874. It is also known that the composer Florent Schmitt served as president from 1922 to 1924.Currently, as the National Conservatory of Music (CRR), it cooperates with other educational institutions to hold concerts in Japan and overseas, 250 public events a year, and exchange programs.Currently, there are approximately 2,600 students and 240 instructors in all departments.The educational program consists of four courses.The first course is an introductory course and the second course is the basics.In the third course, students will take the course according to their own future plans and aim to obtain a certificate of completion (CEM: Music Research Qualification Certificate).In addition, there is another specialized preparatory course in the third course, which aims to obtain a graduation diploma (DEM: Music Research Qualification).In addition, the 4th course (advanced course) is available to students at the DEM level and takes advanced lessons in all classes such as practical skills, departments, ensembles, and self-planning to enhance the field of specialized knowledge.Practical majors include violin, viola, cello, contrabass, flute, oboe, clarinette, fagot, sax, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuber, sakubat, saxorn, piano, piano accompaniment, pipe organ, accordion, percussion instrument ( Classic), World Percussion, Chambero, Recorder, Traverso, Harp, Guitar, Baroque Guitar, Lute, Viola da Gamba, Baroque Cello, Voice.In jazz, there are pianos, guitars, drums, basses, saxophones, vocals and other wind instruments.Lecture subjects are music analysis, music history, ecriture, jazz history, jazz arrangement, jazz harmony, composition, solfege, first-time performance, kinesiology, improvisation.Ensemble-related items include chamber music, ensemble, chorus, orchestra, big band, and choir.
