The history of the Clermont Ferran Conservatory began with the merger of a free music school and a private music school in the city in 1905. It became a public school in 1908, was nationally accredited in 1911, and became a branch school of the Paris National Conservatory of Music in 1948.Then, in 1976, it became the National Conservatory of Music and continues to this day. In 2006, the school building and facilities were renovated.You can now learn in the best conditions.Currently, the Faculty of Music has 82 instructors, about 1,200 students, and 5,000 elementary school students in and around the city.The program consists of three courses, 3st / XNUMXnd / XNUMXrd, except for early childhood courses.The third course to qualify is divided into a certificate of completion of musicology (CFEM: music research qualification diploma) or a course aiming for a graduation diploma (DEM: music research qualification).
