The Versailles Regional Conservatory was founded in 1956 as a national music school. It was recognized by the National Conservatory of Music (CNR) in 1971 and is now the same (CRR).There are about 100 teachers and about 1,300 students including local children.The location right in front of the Palace of Versailles is also one of the reasons for its popularity.The educational program consists of three courses + professional training course (CEPI) + advanced courses, excluding the infant course.The first course is introductory and the second course is basic learning.After that, if you want to become a professional, go to the second course-CEPI preparation course (required to pass the competition), and if you want to reach the highest level of amateurs, go to the third course.In the third course, we aim to obtain a certificate of completion.In the professional training course that will become CEPI in the future, you can obtain a national vocational guidance qualification (DNOP) and a graduation diploma (DEM: music research qualification).We also offer advanced courses to develop multiple talents.
Performance majors are voice, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, sax, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuber, pipe organ, piano, accompaniment, percussion instrument, violin, viola, cello, contrabass, guitar, harp, recorder, chambero. , Baroque Violin, Lute & Teorbo, Viola da Gamba.Jazz includes piano, saxophone, drums, wood bass, and arrangements.Lecture subjects include formation musical, music analysis, ecriture & harmony, music history, bass bass, solfege, music analysis, and improvisation.In addition, group activities can participate in orchestra, chamber music, chorus, big band, contemporary, oboe band, clarinet quier, guitar / saxophone / brass / percussion ensemble, etc.
* Like other French Conservatoires, the school is in the process of reforming the standardization and internationalization of its educational programs, so it is coordinating with the government the courses it offers and the diplomas it awards.For this reason, the Cycle d'Orientation Professionnelle will be offered as a professional training course (CEPI), which is a common level and name in France.
