Amiens is a city in northern France famous for its Gothic masterpiece "Amiens Cathedral", which is also registered as a World Heritage Site.It is also popular with tourists from Japan because of its beauty such as the floating market and the old town.The Amiens Conservatory of Music emphasizes group practice such as orchestras and ensembles, as well as individual lessons and lectures.The educational program consists of three courses.The first course is an introductory course and the second course is the basics.In the third course, we aim to acquire qualifications such as graduation diploma (DEM: music research qualification).Classic courses for keyboard instruments such as piano, violin and clarinet, stringed instruments and wind instruments, as well as electro-acoustic and jazz courses are available.For example, the electroacoustic course focuses on the Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Kraftwerk, as well as Pierre Henry, Steve Reich, and John Cage.In the first course, you will learn practical skills and sound technology logically, and in the second course, you will learn creative sense such as composition and sound.In the third course, we will compose comprehensively, including interactive technology and remix technology, following the research of his two contemporary music research institutes IRCAM and GRM, which France is proud of.In addition, jazz courses can be taken regardless of age if you have taken a musical instrument class for at least 3 years and passed the audition.Starting from the second course, you will learn practice in an atelier and a big band, and jazz solfege (harmonic, rhythm, hearing).In the third course, we will continue to study practical training, ecriture and arrangement, music information processing (MAO), group improvisation, and aim for DEM acquisition.
