The Munich University of Music is well known as Germany's oldest national (state) music university, with a world-renowned reputation. Founded as the predecessor of the Bavarian Royal Academy from 1830 to 1846.After that, I changed the school name several times with the background of the times.The historic building, which is still used as a school building, is famous for being used as it is despite being damaged during the Nazi era.Throughout its long history, it has always maintained a high level of education, despite repeated renaming and expansion.He is known for his passion for music and his revolutionary spirit, which not only keeps the tradition, but also constantly develops new courses and special training.
In addition to traditional classical instrumental music, vocal music, music education, conducting, and composition, majors include film and media music composition, multimedia / music journalism, and music management.From 2008, the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich will be integrated.You can now learn accordion, ancient instruments, and jazz.In school teacher training, folk instruments, church music (Catholic, Protestant), etc., we have started many new specialized departments such as diplomas and bachelor's degree courses.
Furthermore, in recent years, the conventional diploma course has been changed to a degree course. From the winter semester of 2010, it has become possible to obtain a bachelor's degree in instrumental music (wind instruments, string instruments, percussion instruments, dulcimers, zithers, pianos, organs), composition, film & media music composition, jazz, and folk music.In other majors, we plan to offer bachelor's degree courses from the winter semester of 2011.The master's course will also be available from the winter semester of 2011.
