The Freiburg University of Music was founded in 1946 by internationally renowned flutist Gustav Scheck. Ensemble activities at a level close to professionals such as symphony orchestras, choirs, chamber strings, new music, percussion instruments, and operas are active, and more than 450 concerts, operas, and recitals are held annually.Due to its large number and richness of content, it has a reputation as the largest concert organizer in the Baden region.
