The Karlsruhe University of Music is the predecessor of a private music education institution, founded in 1812, with the support of the city.It was founded in 1971 as a formal university.He has earned a high reputation for studying music from a scientific perspective and providing flexible, high-quality music education.Currently, there are about 560 students from all over the world and about 200 instructors.Fine-tuned tutoring and a fulfilling music program by world-renowned top-notch music instructors are attractive.It is also a school that is constantly attracting the attention of talented young music students as it actively incorporates innovative courses and curriculum.
Educational programs boast a wide variety of courses.We offer BA and MA degree acquisition courses in classical music instrumental music (keyboard instruments, wind instruments, percussion instruments, string instruments), vocal music, opera, music theory, composition, conducting, etc.It is also possible to obtain multimedia such as music journalism and computer music, and new BA and MA degrees mainly in computer science.In addition, there are courses that offer professional qualifications in music education, soloists, songs, chamber music, and more.
Music groups with students participate in more than 300 performances each year. As a member of the EU Erasmus Program, we have networks with music education institutions in neighboring countries such as Finland, Austria, Spain, Estonia, United Kingdom and France, including the University of Rio de Janeiro, the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the Sichuan Conservatory, and the Music Academy of Sara Evo and Jerusalem. , International exchanges with many music universities are also active.Ensemble collaborations are held every year in collaboration with these overseas music education institutions.Students have gained experience by appearing in numerous concerts both domestically and internationally, including concerts for peace.
In addition, many leading musicians are invited as teachers to the master classes held at the school.For example, in 2013 there will be lessons by Christiane Oelze (vocal), Heinz Holliger (oboe), Bruno Mantovani (composer) and Kathryn Goodson (American song).
