■ General school information ■
The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto was founded in 1886. With a long history of over 100 years, we have cultivated excellent musicians. Then, in 1987, he established the Royal Conservatory of Music Professional School in Toronto in order to bring more professional musicians to the world. In 1997, it was relaunched with the Glenn Gould Professional School. Our instructors include world-renowned performers, educators and scholars.Graduates include the St. Lawrence String Quartet, Naida Cole, Mariko Anraku, and Isabel Byrakudarion, producing a large number of internationally active musicians. From this, we can see the high quality of music education at the school. At the university level, the program offers a Diploma (PDP) to become a performer, as well as a BM degree acquisition course. After obtaining PDP, you can also transfer to a degree course. At the graduate level, you can obtain an artist diploma for piano solo, vocal music, and orchestral instrumental music. Music activities carry out 80 to 100 performances a year.Projects with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Canadian Opera Company, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra are popular. In addition, the Conservatory Orchestra invites world-class conductors, artistic directors, managers, and agents to offer career classes. We accept only about 130 students each year and maintain a small class and standard.Thorough professional education, including abundant individual lessons, a mentor system, and more than 100 master classes each year, will be a shortcut to the world.
