The University of Capilano made its history a star by holding a small class in 1968.Since then, it has continued to grow, and in 1973 it established a campus in northern Vancouver.After a long college era, it evolved into a university in 2008.Currently, there are about 7,500 students enrolled in the credit acquisition course and about 7,000 students in the non-credit course.Of these, 619 are international students from 49 countries around the world.The school strives to develop independent professionals who can contribute to the global society in today's rapidly changing world.We also research and provide innovative programs to meet the diverse needs of industry.Known for its quality education and services in a wide range of fields, from science and art to business and health.
The Music Program offers five courses: two degrees, two diplomas and one certificate of completion.The degree program allows you to earn a BM degree in jazz studies (vocals, instrumental performance, arrangement / composition, general, education) and music therapy.You can also get a diploma in jazz studies and classical (instrumental, vocal, composition).After getting a classic diploma, you can transfer to British Columbia University, Victoria University, Brandon University, University of Toronto, etc. and get a bachelor's degree in music, music therapy, music education, and liberal arts.In addition, we offer a certificate of completion course under the direction (instrumental ensemble, chorus).This course is ideal for continuing education for musicians and music instructors, so many students enroll after getting a degree.
