Founded in 1881, the University of Liverpool has established itself as a pioneer in education and research in the United Kingdom over its long history.The Faculty of Music started the Master's (MA) course in popular music for the first time in the UK in 1990. In 2003, the Institute of Popular Music (IPM), a global research institute for popular music, was integrated.We are expanding the range of research and activities to the world, such as hosting international conferences.Also known as an international university, it welcomed 2009 students from 110 countries in 2,500.Facilities are also substantial, including a library, computer equipment, a rehearsal room equipped with PA, a practice room, a listening room, and a shared space equipped with WiFi, providing a privileged learning environment.In the university course, we offer BA degree acquisition courses in classical and popular music.Also, a combination of classic and popular is possible, so it is ideal for those who want to learn both.These courses also feature world music, film music, and the music industry.In addition to playing, we will hone our skills and knowledge in composition, music technology, music history, music analysis, and music criticism. In the graduate course, which focuses on music research since 1900, we offer MA, musicology, composition, and performance courses for popular music research and music industry research.In addition, we offer research courses that allow you to earn an MPhil / PhD degree.These educational programs are free to choose and study the lessons you are interested in, regardless of course, major or genre.This flexible curriculum is very popular with students and is one of the reasons for choosing to enroll in the school.
