The city of Como in Italy is geographically close to Milan and Switzerland and is a town at the foot of the Alps overlooking the beautiful Lake Como. The Como Conservatory started in 1982 as a branch school of the Milan Conservatory in Como City and became independent in 1996.The history of the school building is very old, and it is a building that was built as a hospital in the latter half of the 15th century and was used until the beginning of the 20th century. After the hospital was closed, it was restored by the city of Como in 1971, and in 1982, a contract was signed between the city of Como and the Milan Conservatory to use it as a branch school of the Milan Conservatory. There are 400 students in the regular course, 3 students in the level I 100-year course (university level), 2 students in the level II 25-year course (graduate level), and 70 faculty members.Especially in the 3rd and 2nd year academic courses, it is a medium-sized but international school with many international students from Europe, Guatemala, South Korea, Japan, etc. as well as students from Italy. ..The symphony orchestra organized by the students of the Conservatory, the ensemble group of the students of the Department of Electronic and Acoustic Technology, the big band jazz, the baroque musical instrument group organized by the soloists and the chorus, the chorus ensemble, etc. are organized and music activities are performed. This makes it easier for students to engage in music activities. As a place of activity, various other events are hosted and held, centering on the "Saturday Concert" held every Saturday at the Conservatory Concert Hall.In particular, the annual "Christmas Concert" is held by the Conservatory alone in the city of Como and surrounding churches, and is also held separately in collaboration with other organizations in the city of Como and Lombardy. I am blessed.Careful consideration is given to applying what you have learned in the form of actual activities, which is ideal for those who want to be actively involved in music activities.
