Opened in 1969 as part of the Venetian Conservatory, it became independent in 1980 and began its history as the current Castelfranco Veneto Conservatory.With its historic location, the school is located within the medieval exterior walls that surround the city of Castelfranco.In addition, a new historic building, the Day Serviti Monastery, has been restored and a new school building has been opened to accommodate the ever-increasing number of students.The contents of this facility include 50 classrooms and practice rooms in total.There is also a studio for electronic music, a conference room, and a concert hall with 70 seats.The library is equipped with individual audio-visual facilities to support learning using various media.There are also staff and student rooms equipped with computers and an internet environment. The choice of musical instruments that can be majored is very wide, and you can major in accordion, viola da gamba, celtic harp, which are rarely seen in other schools, and also offer innovative style courses such as Afro-American piano studies.For concerts, orchestras and opera exercises and other extracurricular activities, you can use Castel Franco's beautiful Akkademico Theater, built in the 18th century.Currently, it is a medium-sized school with about 500 students, but in addition to the core 3-year (university level) and 2-year (graduate school level) courses, seminars and workshops focusing on various topics and majors.・ Lectures and master classes are held throughout the year or regularly.It is a very attractive conservatory where you can experience the traditional atmosphere, have many opportunities to learn, and have the opportunity to showcase the results of your practice in a historic place.
