The University of Nottingham was founded in 1881 by its predecessor college. In the university course of the Faculty of Music, we offer BA degree courses while taking courses from a wide range of fields such as performance, historical musicology, gender & politics, music analysis, and composition.While deepening your knowledge of social and cultural backgrounds, you will hone your critical and analytical skills in music research. In the third year, you can choose the most suitable specialty for you from writing a dissertation, producing a composition, and performing a recital.We also offer BA joint degree courses in two majors: Music & Philosophy and German & Music.In the graduate program, we offer MA degree acquisition courses in music & geography, early music, stage & film music, music theory & music analysis.He has also earned MPhil and PhD degrees in Music & Geography, Film Music, Opera, Music Analysis, Medieval & Early Modern Studies, 3-2th Century Music, Original and Edition Studies, Philosophy & Aesthetics, Jazz, Popular Music, and Composition. Is possible.We are particularly focused on composition (instrumental music, vocal music, electronic music), and there are also courses for obtaining AMusM and AMusD degrees.
