Central Connecticut State University was founded in 1849 as a normal school for teacher training. It became Central Connecticut State University in 1959.Currently, there are more than 12,000 students and more than 900 full-time and part-time professors.It is known for its intellectual environment in which it is possible to exchange frank opinions and deepen knowledge.We also recommend public services so that you can grow into a moral and social person as well as professional independence.The National Colleges and Universities Association recognizes the school's innovative undergraduate education and recognizes it as one of only 16 "Leadership Institutes" in the United States.It has also been named one of the "Best Northeastern Colleges" and "Americas Best Value Colleges" by The Princeton Review.The Faculty of Music also has a well-developed training program for teachers and music instructors, reflecting the history of Teachers College.In the university course, we offer a BA degree in performance (instrumental music, vocal music), music theory & composition, jazz research, music + other majors, and a BS degree in teacher training (K-12).In the professional program, you can get a BS degree in music teacher training.In the graduate course, we offer an MS degree acquisition course in music education.For those who wish to enroll in this master's course and have a bachelor's degree but do not have a qualification in the field of music education, we have a music education completion program.In addition, even if you do not have sufficient piano skills or theoretical knowledge at the time of admission audition for the degree course, you may be admitted by taking the relief course, so we recommend you to take an active challenge.
