Columbus State University was founded in 1958.Since then, we have provided quality world-class education for young students to succeed in today's creative global society.Currently, there are approximately 8,200 students and more than 750 faculty and staff.We offer more than 80 university courses and about 50 graduate courses in arts, education, management, nursing and more.
The Schwob School of Music is a leader in music education programs in the southeastern United States and is known for its rapid growth. In 2008-2009, we received the Best Education Award from 35 schools from the Georgia University Council.Experienced and talented professors will guide each student to develop their talents.It would be nice to have a small class with 1 students for each professor.
In the university course, we offer BA degree, performance (instrumental music, vocal music), and BM degree acquisition course in music education (instrumental music, vocal music) in music history / music theory + other music-related subjects and other subjects.In the graduate program, you can obtain an MM degree in performance (instrumental music, vocal music), conducting, and music education.In addition, if you have a bachelor's degree qualification, you can fully learn contemporary as well as professional performance in the artist diploma acquisition course.
The performance activities are also active, and various large and small groups such as orchestra, brass band, choir, opera, jazz, and instrumental ensemble belong to it.
