Idaho State University was founded in 1901 as the Aodaho Academy. It grew into a college in 1947 and became Idaho State University in 1963.Based in Pocatello, the four campuses are surrounded by mountains, forests and lakes and offer a magnificent natural environment in the western United States.Under this clear air, more than 4 students from about 60 countries around the world are currently enrolled. Five colleges and graduate schools offer approximately 14,400 degrees and accreditation programs.Known for its innovative, high-quality educational programs and cutting-edge research.Classes are small, with 5 students per professor.We are developing leaders in a global society who can learn from the past, think critically about the present, and create a better tomorrow.The Faculty of Music belongs to the College of Arts & Literature, which is a representative field of the university.We have a wide variety of music programs to meet various needs, not only for those who want to become professional musicians and researchers in the future, but also for those who want to learn their favorite music.In the university course, music (music scholar, composer, music writer, music instructor) + BA degree in liberal arts subject, BS degree in music (same) + science / mathematics, BM in performance (instrumental music, voice music) Offers BME degree acquisition courses in degree and music education.In the graduate program, you can get an MEd degree in Music Education.
Various music groups such as orchestras, choirs, operas, brass bands, jazz, marching bands, and instrumental ensembles belong to the ensemble.Students hold concerts on a regular basis and work hard to perform.The venue for the concert is the Arts Center, which was completed in 2004.Not only music, but also dance, drama, lectures, etc. are held here, so you will be able to receive artistic stimulation from your daily life.
