The Faculty of Music is a music education institution dating back to 1906. In the university course, we offer BA degree in music + other subjects, BM degree in performance (instrumental music, vocal music, jazz in the second major), composition, music education, and music therapy (performance, clinical).In the graduate course, we offer MA degree in performance, conducting (orchestra, chorus, band), composition, jazz research, music theory, musicology, music therapy, music education, and MFA degree in performance (advanced).In addition, you can earn a DMA degree in performance, conducting and education, and a PhD degree in composition, musicology, music theory, music literature and music education.There are also courses where you can obtain a graduate certificate in the field of religious music.
The ensemble includes a wide variety of music groups such as orchestra, chamber music, marching band, camerata, choir, jazz, steelpan, afro-cuban drums & dance. After recovering from the 2008 Iowa River flood, it is encouraging its citizens with its powerful musical activities.
