The University of Louisiana Monroe was founded in 1931 as a junior college.Since then, it has continued to grow steadily, and currently there are approximately 44 students from 51 states in the United States and 9,000 countries around the world.Located in Monroe, Louisiana, the campus has five colleges in Arts & Sciences, Business, Education & Humanities, Health Sciences, and Pharmacy, offering 5 degree programs.Through these education and research, we have a good reputation for comprehensive guidance to provide a meaningful way of life and qualities that can contribute to humankind.The school also has ongoing and beneficial partnerships with schools, governments, businesses and local institutions.Therefore, it is a feature that students can acquire comprehensive strength by the time they enter society.The music department has recently completed renovation work on the music school building.Equipped with excellent state-of-the-art equipment such as recital hall, classroom, practice room, band library, studio and rehearsal area.Full facilities are now available.As a result, music students are becoming more and more motivated to learn and satisfy their intellectual curiosity.In the university course, we offer BM degree in performance (instrumental music, vocal music), piano education, music theory & composition, music history, stage music, and BME degree in music education (instrumental music, vocal music).In the graduate program, you can obtain an MM degree in performance (instrumental music, vocal music), conducting, music theory & composition, and music education.
Various groups such as orchestra, string trio, choir, opera / musical, pep band, jazz and instrumental ensemble belong to the music group.In addition to concert activities, events such as the composer in campus and an academy for children are also held.Why don't you take a step toward a solid tomorrow in this new music-filled learning building?
