The University of Nevada, Reno was founded in 1874 as the first higher education institution in eastern Nevada.It is a state university known for high-level education and research, which is recognized by the US government as Land Grant University.Currently, it has 10 schools and colleges, and has 145 programs from bachelor's degree to doctoral degree in a wide range of fields such as business, education, art, journalism, agriculture, science, and technology.
