twenty-second to thirtieth of July 2025
This is a five-week summer course held by the prestigious Berklee College of Music with the aim of developing comprehensive skills as a musician. By combining various approaches such as lectures, workshops, and rehearsal-style lessons, we teach all the elements necessary for excellent performance. The course is divided into musical genres such as jazz, pop, rock, funk, fusion, and rhythm & blues, and is aimed at both instrumentalists and singers. Anyone over 15 years old with more than six months of musical experience can participate. From professional musicians to amateurs who have never performed in front of an audience, everyone is welcome. Classes vary depending on the day, but they are held between 6:20 a.m. and XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. in the evening. A dense schedule is created that combines private lessons, lessons in ensembles, training in pitch and music reading, and lectures on performance theory. In addition, composition and arrangement, music business, and music therapy basics are also available as elective subjects. The professors are of course the renowned sensei of Berklee College of Music. However, what is even more attractive is the lineup of world-class guest musicians invited from various genres. Details will not be announced until the last minute, but in the past, saxophonists Dave Liebman and Bob Mintzer, bassists Noel Redding and Ron Carter, drummer Lewis Nash, guitarists Larry Carlton and John Scofield have given lectures and discussions with students. Various performance opportunities, such as concerts and jam sessions, are planned for students during the course.
