Ochsenhausen
A number of distinctive courses in the beautiful church and monastery town of Ochsenhausen.
Famous music college professors and active musicians, mainly from Germany, hold intensive master classes and workshops for musical instrument players and singers with clearly targeted goals.
April 2025th - May 3th, 13

This seminar will be held in a beautiful old monastery in Ochsenhausen, southern Germany. Unlike seminars that only aim to improve overall technique, each course in this seminar has a clear goal. Every year, the seminars are held throughout the year from spring to autumn (or winter), and each course has its own unique characteristics. Various majors and courses are held depending on the year. In the past, Professor Konrad Elser from the University of Music in Lübeck taught piano technique and interpretation of songs from an authentic perspective in the piano solo and chamber music courses, in preparation for graduation exams, live performances, and auditions. In addition, a course on lied and piano accompaniment was held with soprano singer Professor Ruth Ziesak and renowned accompanist Professor Ulrich Eisenrohr from the University of Music in Cologne, where participants could thoroughly learn the experience and tips of how to accompany each other. In addition, a seminar was held by the popular piano duo Hanspeter and Volker Stentzl. The content was centered on their specialty duo pieces, but it was also very attractive that it was possible to take the course as a soloist. Of course, there are many other courses every year that allow you to improve your skills in areas such as violin, trumpet, trombone, organ, and composition. Please see below for details on this year's course content. The venue is a large historic monastery building, and meals are served in an 18th century dining room. There are relatively few Japanese participants, so this is a rare opportunity to experience European history and the course content firsthand. There are many courses available, so please join us when you can.
