Summer course Training session

Enghien Summer International Master Class

Country: Belgium
City: Angian

A class to sharpen your hearing in the beautiful nature and silence of Enghien Castle.

Expand your repertoire by using valuable lessons and concerts at the ecological Enghien Castle in the French-speaking area of Belgium to improve your skills.
April 2025th - May 8th, 16
Enghien, a town in Hainaut province, is located about 30 km southwest of Brussels. The summer course here is held in a majestic chateau located in one of the most beautiful parks in Belgium. The course is held in a very peaceful and natural environment, the Château de Enghien, built in the early 20th century, so that young musicians can share their artistic talents and sensitivities with excellent professors. The castle is known for its gardens from the 17th century, and the spacious area of over 180 hectares is filled with beautiful trees and flowers, making it an ideal place to relax and meditate away from the hustle and bustle. During the course, solo and ensemble lessons for approximately 60 students will be given by world-class professors of vocal, piano, violin, viola, cello, and chamber music. Each student should include at least one chamber music piece in their course repertoire. Applicants will send performance recordings and resumes to the secretariat in advance, and the professors will select the students. Depending on the Sensei, additional auditions may be held on the first day or problems with the level may be pointed out during the lesson, so please be fully prepared. Participants who are not students can also attend lessons. During the course, there will also be chamber music concerts by professors and invited artists, and public concerts by students. Although the course is not very large, this is why you can take your time with lessons, interact with other musicians through ensembles, and improve your musicality in a relaxed environment. You can also stay in Brussels before or after the course to visit many museums and art galleries, and enjoy visiting the Grand Place, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and spend a culturally and artistically fulfilling time.
