Summer course Training session

Seoul Summer Music Workshop

Country: South Korea
City: Seoul

Members of the Berlin Philharmoniker and professors of the German College of Music are coming to Seoul, South Korea as sensei.

The orchestra academy and master class are offered by world-renowned Korean musicians such as the Berliner Philharmoniker's stringed instrument players and a famous German professor at the University of Music.
This is an 8- to 10-day course held at the Faculty of Music of Sangmyung University in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. The course is roughly divided into two, the orchestra academy and the master class. The Orchestra Academy offers violin, cello, contrabass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, timpany, percussion and harp.Master class courses include piano, violin, cello and flute. The instructor, sensei, is a world-renowned professor who teaches at famous European music colleges such as the Cologne College of Music and Hans Eisler College of Music, as well as leading universities in Korea and Japan, including six active stringed instrument players from the Berlin Philharmoniker. A total of more than 40 gorgeous faces with all of us.The members of the Berlin Philharmoniker are in charge of the Orchestra Academy only. The content of the instruction is tailored to the level of students studying at a music school or music college, but you do not necessarily have to be a student to take it, and there are no particular age restrictions. However, to attend the Orchestra Academy, you must submit a letter of recommendation from the professor you are currently teaching or audition. In the master class, 10 students can participate in each instructor on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you find the sensei you are looking for, please do so as soon as possible. Each master class lesson is 40 minutes and can be taken XNUMX times during the period. In addition, the lesson can be accompanied by an assistant Japanese interpreter, so even those who are worried about the language can take the lesson.Concerts where students can perform are also planned. For the orchestra course, everyone can perform a recital at the concert on the final day.On the other hand, for master class participants, concerts by excellent professors are scheduled. It is recommended because it is easy to maintain your physical condition without worrying about the time difference because it is a class in Seoul, South Korea, which is very close to Japan.

* Master class is applied on a first-come, first-served basis, and in principle anyone can participate. The Orchestra Academy requires a sensei letter of recommendation. Before the deadline, the famous sensei course in Europe is expected to be full, so it is recommended to apply early.
