Summer course Training session

Italian International Summer Music Academy

Country: Italy
City: Castelnuovo di Garfanana

Sensei, who teach at top American music schools and universities, teach from high school students to young professionals.

Piano, violin, cello, clarinet and vocal music courses in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, a town in Tuscany, Italy that retains the remnants of the Middle Ages.
April 2025th, 6- October 27st
This 12-day seminar will be held in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, a town in Tuscany, Italy, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Apuan Mountains, and is aimed at high school students, music college students, and young professionals who want to learn piano, violin, cello, clarinet, and vocal music. Although the seminar will be held in Italy, it is planned and organized by a music organization headquartered in New York, USA. As a result, the instructors are a lineup of sensei (or former professors) who teach at top schools representing the United States, such as the Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes College of Music, City University of New York, and Michigan State University. The instructors change every year, but in the past, they have included leading musicians such as Dmitry Berlinski, winner of the 1984 Paganini International Competition, Suren Bagratuni, second place in the cello category of the 1986 Tchaikovsky International Competition, George Vatinadze, associate professor of music at DePaul University, who is active mainly in the United States and won the Herald Angel Award for his brilliant debut at the Edinburgh International Festival, Julian Milkis, a clarinet genius who is active worldwide, and Shirley Love, a veteran mezzo-soprano who continues to work at the Metropolitan Opera. What kind of people will be there this year (see this year's "Faculty"). The schedule for the 12-day course includes four private lessons, four chamber music lessons, and an appearance at the graduation concert (planned) to be held the day before the end of the course. In addition to this concert, there are many opportunities to perform in front of an audience, both solo and in an ensemble. Accommodation is in a room for 4 to 4 people. Breakfast and dinner are included.
