This is a summer seminar on early music and dance, held by an Italian foundation that has been working to promote early music for nearly 50 years. The venue is the ancient city of Urbino, known as the "jewel of the Marche" in central Italy. Urbino, an artistic city that has retained its appearance from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and is registered as a World Heritage Site, is the perfect place to learn and enjoy early music. Now, there are many courses offered here, and it is no exaggeration to say that they cover all fields of early music. For example, courses are held on string instruments such as baroque violin, cello, and viola da gamba, wind instruments such as recorder, flute traverso, and bassoon, keyboard instruments such as harpsichord and basso continuo, and plucked string instruments such as lute. In addition to these, courses are held on baroque orchestra and chamber music. The instructors are a total of just under XNUMX people, including first-class performers such as lute virtuoso Paul Odette and Baroque oboe virtuoso Alfredo Bernardini, leader of the world's top period woodwind group "Ensemble Zeffiro", as well as instructors and researchers who teach at famous European music academies and colleges, and dance specialists. This summer, let's learn early music in the original place.
