2024 year 7 month 20 day to 7 month 28 day
This is a summer seminar for early music and dance held by an Italian foundation that has been active for nearly 50 years to promote early music. The event will be held in the ancient city of Urbino, located in central Italy and known as the ``Jewel of the Marche''. Urbino, a city of art that retains its features from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance period and is registered as a World Heritage Site, is the perfect place to learn and enjoy early music. Now, it is no exaggeration to say that there are many courses offered here, covering all areas of early music. For example, courses are held on string instruments such as the baroque violin, cello, and viola da gamba; wind instruments such as the recorder, flauto traverso, and baroque bassoon; keyboard instruments such as the harpsichord and basso continuo; and plucked string instruments such as the lute. In addition, classes on baroque orchestra and chamber music will be held. The instructors include top-notch musicians from Europe, including lute master Paul Odette and baroque oboe master Alfredo Bernardini, leader of the world's top period woodwind group, Ensemble Zephiro. There are about XNUMX people in total, including instructors and researchers who teach at famous music conservatories/music colleges, and dance specialists. This summer, let's learn early music in the real place.
